This class has sparked a serious new interest of Web 2.0 for me. I have found myself reading the "Technology" section of online newspapers more frequently to become informed on new technologies and services. So, today I was delighted to have found this article in the New York Times' Technology section which featured a new social media communication tool called Broadcastr. From my understanding, the tool allows users to check in at a location and record a voice message of something that has a personal significance to that particular location. For instance, the article describes how users can check in at the World Trade Center memorial site and listen to personally recorded messages from actual survivors of 9/11. Broadcastr is still a work in progress and isn't fully developed yet, so I am really excited to see how everyone responds to it. I think it sounds like an awesome tool and would be a lot of fun to use.
